If you are gay, I wish you well, if not, I still wish you well, you have to be true to yourself. If your Father is already saying that then I would just lay low and wait to be out on your own, that way if he finds out later on you will already be set up and not have to worry about being thrown out and have to fend for yourself. Best wishes to you.

I think it's definitely OK. I mean, it's just a matter of sexual preference-- that doesn't really even affect a person's character, so many good people are gay (not because of their orientation, but because of the good they do for society).

It's too bad your dad would say something like that; but, if you honestly think you're gay, just hold off verbalizing it for a while until you get the whole issue sorted out. If you need someone to talk to feel free to look up BBS online or find a local counselor.

All in all, sexuality's just one part of a person--sexuality alone doesn't make you a good or bad person. So, it's OK to be good.

I think its ok. The first thing you need to do is accept yourself. You can't expect someone else to ,if you don't. Second, maybe you should contact a local support group , at least there you'll be able to find help. Last be not least, make sure if and when you decide to come out, you have some place else to go or someone else you can go to for support, maybe another family member. Good Luck.

Dude, if you were gay, then is just who you are. Your Dad is wrong for telling you this, but that is who you are and your dad can not change you. If he loves you like he says he does then
he'll except you any way you are, any shape, tall or short. If he
still doesn't except you then I just hope your mom stands by your
side no matter what your dad says. Good Luck on the dad/child
relationship. I have children and they are straight, but if they were
to come up to me and to tell me that they were gay, I would except them.

Being gay is ok. Being out can sometimes be dangerous. It would maybe be a good idea to become completely financially independent before outing yourself. First task is the figure yourself out and accept your sexuality. Best of luck!
