I want to educate myself on protecting my computer.

I think there's a torrent out there that has it but, those are illegal. I wasn't able to find the complete book in a free format but:

I bought both mine on E-Bay because I have been in the same situation too. However, some of the information is out of date. As long as you just use the information to learn what people can do to get into your computer and use only web sites that are set up for hacking into for fun, you should be fine. Do not use the information to get into anyones's computer without their conscent- that's the important thing to remember! It's not free but it's not too expensive.
