ok my son whats a psps so he can play socom2 now i bought him psp for christmas now in hearing you need memmory stick, modem , wireless router, mic, head set, what else do i need i dont understand it and how does it work, what hooks up to what? i spent 300 already and i need to knwo i dont want to disapoint him................HELP

ohh i dont have a modem yet or router but i will purchase it i just need to know how to hook it up and how does it work

Okay, there are two psp's you can buy. One is a basic pack, it has only a psp and charger in it. The other has a psp, charger, memory stick and case for your psp. Check which one you have, as you may need a memory stick.

Socom on psp comes with the headset. All that other stuff you need to play online with (and it isn't cheap). That's what your son wants to do, play online against other people.

Okay, you need broadband internet first of all. If you don't have broadband all the other stuff is a waste of time. (512kb speed or more recommended)

I'm guessing you know what a modem does.

The wireless router allows you to access the internet from the modem to wireless devices, in this case a psp. The psp can access the internet through it, so you can play games and surf the internet. It doesn't cost anything to surf the internet through the psp or play games against other people.
