One year, my mother had serious personal problems because of her friend who was supposed to build our house, but took 60,000 dollars from us. She was in love with this guy, and it all fell apart. That Christmas, I never got a real gift from here. She always has a bunch of presents that she keeps incase she doesn't have time to shop for friends and family, but not for her daughter (me), because she'd always get me great gifts. She had a game, Cranium, laying around, so that's all I received for Christmas that year. I really want to blackmail her about that-but I don't want to in a way.
