I had my license suspended for speeding... I am set to get it back in about a week. Does anybody know what process I actually have to go through to get my license back? The license was suspended for 90 days in Kentucky.

I have heard something about going into the transportation cabinate and paying some kind of fee. I lost the license at a hearing, if that helps.

If anybody has had to do this, your input would be helpful, thanks.

call your local State Police HQ,...I am sure they would know, or whoever issues the licenses in Kentucky Maybe the Dept. Of Kentucky Public Safety.

You also need to check with your insurance broker,...I'm sure some sort of "proof of insurance" will be required before reinstatement.

In California I think that you just have to go to the DMV office and apply for your license again. They will tell you there if you have to pay a reinstatement fee or take a test or anything like that. Call up the local DMV and they can help you out.

Depends on the state . . you may have to take all the exams over and pay the fees. . . I will tell you that I have a commercial license in California and I moved to KY for a short time and it took 15 minutes LITERALLY to exchange my California commercial license for a Kentucky commercial license and when I moved back to CA one mointh later it took 3 days to get it back. .

I didn't know mine was suspended, and then when I got pulled over, he told me my license was 'denied.' Turns out the suspension period was over and I just hadn't paid the reactivation fee of $25 at the DMV. (that's in Utah, I don't know whether it's different in other states like others have said)
