I am 17, soon to be 18, and I have never played a sport for a team or for any one. I want to play a sport but I have no skills in any type of sport. I have a fear that since I have never played I couldn't make a team. I enjoy soccer, but I don't know the rules or how to play. Do you have any advice or a good place to start.

By the way I live in a part of the country where it's rather seculuded and the odds of playing with someone local are very slim since my cloest neighbor lives a ways away.

Also, most sports that are more individual would let you practice with them at the very least because you being there won't get in the way, like you might in a team sport. Individual sports: running, swimming, bowling, golf, weight-lifting, etc...

Go to a soccer camp over the summer. Plus do exercise such as lifting weights and running. Do drills to improve footwork and get quick feet.
