just my self-confidence in myself. i want to believe in myself more. even though i'm kinda not attractive i still choose confidence.

My confidence.
I am also shy, but I think I am shy because I don't have a lot of confidence. I am always self consious of the way I act. I don't say the answer aloud even though I know it. I think with just some confidence I would be more outgoing.
I lack confidence so sometimes I am two different people. At home, I'm a loud and confident person. At home I don't care what anyone thinks and at home is where i truly act who I am. At school, I tend to be a little bit more reserved, I usually observe other people more than I interact with them. It could be a thing about who I talk to because I am also truly myself when I am with my best friends.
Without a lot of confidence, it is really hard to do anything because you just don't believe in yourself. And when times get tough, sometimes the only thing that you really need is belief, and what better would it be if it was from yourself. because I don't have a lot of confidence, I tend to put myself down, saying things like "I can't do that...". I sometimes stop myself from trying new things because I am afraid to fail.

If I had it to do over, when I joined the Army at age 17 I would have signed up to get training in a much better field than the infantry. From the time I was a young boy, I wanted to play soldier and when the recruiting Officer asked me what field I wanted to get in to I said anything I can get so I ended up an infantryman and after 16 week of basic traing I ended up in the middle of the korean war. I found out real quick that shooting at the enemy was a lot different than shooting tin cans with a sling shot. It took me 12 years and a few pieces of shrapnel in my body before I got to switch to another branch and by that time I had to learn a lot more in my new duties than cleaning machine gun, yelling at recruits etc.
