I am currently a junior at Iowa and my first semester is just wrapping up. I registered for a television criticism and a writing workshop for the spring semester, but are there other things I can do to help myself? What kinds of courses should I take to help me get ready for this challenging career?

Hi, the New York Film Academy has a one year Certificate in Producing held at Universal Studios in Hollywood that could be very useful to you to do after you graduate. They also have summer programs all around the world. If you want to do a for-credit study abroad, they have 15 unit semester programs in London, Paris, and Florence. If your school has a relationship with the program, you may be able to attend with out paying any extra tuition. Check with your study abroad office.
