A few days before, rent some videos or DVDs that you've been wanting to watch and enjoy them. Get some popped corn, snacks or whatever and embrace your solitude. Solidtude is good, loneliness is not.

I spent one Christmas at domicile with my cat while i grow to be 20. My mothers and fathers had arranged to bypass to our relatives in Yorkshire yet I had to paintings. It wasn't so undesirable - I laid in some stable books, had my information, a good hearth, offered a waiting-cooked hen and a couple of bottles. It would not would desire to be unhappy; it particularly is an extremely restful adventure. There are different persons spending it on my own at here - Pedestal grow to be speaking of being in his cottage on Bodmin together with his books and a sturdy inventory of provisions. What a shame we will not do a "beam me up Scotty" and only drop in on one yet another. i'm going to drink a pitcher to you and everyone else on their own right this moment.

I have done this twice and I think the best way is to rent a bunch of movies, a slew of them, and make up a bunch of your favorite foods, and just hang out all night day and night watching movies.

Of course the day before you should be at your local shelter serving up food to the homeless and meeting new people. I'll be doing this again this year...

Movies are a good distraction. But try calling up a friend, someone that maybe you haven't talked to forever and just wish them a happy holiday. Maybe it will be a new beginning for you.

I always go to the movies, you will always find a good movie coming out on Christmas day. Don't be afraid to go alone, look at it in the view that you are "going with yourself" not "alone".
