I heard during halftime of the broncos/seahawks game that Marshall Faulk mentioned possibly coming back? is there truth to that? Wasn't he injured and then went into retirement because of that ? What is the story behind all of this?

Faulk never officially retired. He took this year off for recuperation from knee surgery. That being said, Marshall should retire and keep his name and career intact, unlike those who continue to try and grasp for further glory (Emmitt Smith, Eddie George, O.J. Simpson, Eric Dickerson, Tony Dorsett, etc.) even though their talent and athleticism is no longer what they once were.

Marshall Faulk should also realize that he would have to go against Steven Jackson for the starting job (which he won't win) and would not be able to pick up a WR spot either (Holt, Bruce, Curtis, and MacDonald holding onto the top 4 spots). Faulk doesn't have the same step he once had that made defenses tremble at his very name.

Marshall ... please retire officially and let your legacy remain intact!

marshall faulk was a great running back, but he retired because he was washed up. I hope he doesn't come back. It's pathetic watching things like Emmit Smith with the Cardinals or Eddie George with the Cowboys, and that was just last year. Running backs like that take a beating, so their careers are pretty short, and it is sad when they hang on too long and look all broken down. I mean, have you seen OJ? I don't even know how he killed those two people, the dude can barely walk. Faulk needs to hang it up. It's over.

On the halftime show, he said he is thinking about a comeback. But no decision has been made as of yet.

I haven't heard that. That's interesting. He's not young anymore. It would take him at least a year to get back into some kind of form. If he's smart, he'll stay out.
