I am an RN, and recently my insurance changed which means I have to see a physician I work with on a daily basis. I am feeling embarrassed because I know I will have to be undressed for a test. What do I do?

contact the physician you'd like to see and ask him to apply to be in your network.

Well if we're talking about the company hot tub party, that is one thing. This is a different matter, though.

You should not have to see a physician that makes you uncomfortable. I would request a different physician, under the circumstances. Your co-workers have no business knowing your medical situation. This isn't about being "nekkid."

You cannot be forced to see a physician that you're working with. Notify the insurance company and request a list of docs that meet their criteria

I would ask to see a doctor you do not work with on a daily basis. Maybe a doctor who is not on your regular shifts?? Are they of the same sex?? I don't think this is an unreasonable request.

Go to a different dr. Although my sis-in-law is a gyno nurse and sees the dr she works for, for her annual....I would think this is very weird but it doesn't seem to bother them.
