Staying in the same religion as your parents, even when you question their beliefs.
Everyone should freely choose what they want to believe, and who they want to believe in, and parents shouldn't get upset at their grown child if they choose another faith, then the one they are in.

Judging people by their looks
would you consider that a tradition?
How about kids should be seen but remain silent
How about people staying out of people's business--because they don't want to 'get involved'?
Or were you wondering more about Holiday traditions
To me the worst tradition surrounding the Holidays is the great pressure we all feel to BUY other's happiness or love, or whatever is being marketed.

A lot of people will disagree with me but for me it is MANDATORY that I spend the Holidays with my family. They are abusive, critical, controlling and all around impossible to please..I cannot stand spending 1 hour with them little on all day with them..Over the holidays it's "I love you so much" then your back is turned and they talk about what a screw up you are. It should me my choice if I want to spend it with the family or not. I would rather go to the mission and spend it serving lunch with the homeless that will appreciate me than with family that doesn't

Shaking hands. I'm all for human contact but hands are filthy. Between door knobs and money our hands are touching germs constantly. We should do away with handshaking and adopt bowing or the forearm grab (like a handshake except you grab each other's forearms instead of hands).
