I have a check, and I was wondering if I could get it into cash, because I don't want to put it into the bank.

Your own bank will cash the check if you have the funds to cover it in your account in case it bounces. You can also go to where the check was drawn (name is in the bottom corner) and cash it there with 2 forms of ID. Usually they charge you a small fee if you don't have an account with that bank.

yes you can...your own bank will cash it for you. just sign the back of the check and let the teller know you want to cash it. The thing is, as one person has stated, if it is made out to cash and not you, the person who wrote the check MUST cash it and they have to sign the back and not you. It is the bank's policy no matter what bank you go to. If you do not have an account, just go to the bank that's on the check(lower left side of check) and also you must have some kind of picture id with you. they may charge some kind of fee but it's really not much.

Yes, you can cash it. But some banks require you to have an account at the bank before you cash it. Every bank's rules are different.

Sure, just go to the bank it was issued from (for example, Bank of America) and tell them you want to cash the check.

If its made out to either you or cash, yes. It helps too if the bank you ask is the one where you have your account. Either way, they'll probably ask for ID. Some banks will also fingerprint you if your account isn't with them.

Yes, at your own bank, there will be no problem, unless it is for a huge amount of money.
