I had sex with my g/f about two days after her period. I was told that she is less fertile directly after her period and that the time that she would be most fertil is right before her period. Is this true?

It is my understanding that she is fertile for up to two weeks after her period but; I am not a doctor.

Sort of. She is the MOST fertile 14 days after her period starts (if she has a 28 day cycle every month). She is the LEAST fertile in the 7 days right after her period, and then the 7 days right before her next period. Hope this helps u out some.

you may be safe, but best a few days before she has her menstruation. the blood has the egg and it is no longer viable, but beware once she stops, as sperm can last up to 2 weeks in her, and that falls into the mid-way point between periods, and that is the highest fertile time.

My mother was a nurse and knew of women who got pregnant during their periods. The only way to prevent it is not to have sex and the next best thing is for her to use a contraception and for use to use protection, even though she still can get pregnant using all that. It may not be as comfortable, but do you want to be tied to your g/f for the rest of your natural life no matter what else happens because she gets pregnant with your child? That's what got me on the pill--no way did I want to be tied to the guy I was seeing at the time.

Generally speaking it is true, however, every woman is different. It is possible to be fertile then, but not highly likely.
