first gather all your thoughts?after 4yrs,did you change for the better or worse?do you have kids?if you really love your kids,the greatest gift you can give them is to love their mother.so,for the past 4yrs,if there were some times of beatings between you and your wife,think twice..if you really love her,why hurt her?after all she's the mother of your kids.taking care of everyday needs.talk to her,and try to convince her that you've changed a lot.

Please give more detail. What was the misunderstanding? Can you calmly discuss it with her or has too much time passed? Where is she in her life? Has she moved on?
We need more facts to correctly advise you.
