I've been told that a woman wears red flowers in her corsage if her mother is living, pink if she has a living step-mother, white if her mother is dead, etc. any comments?

It means that it is the same color her date is wearing (usually... you are supposed to match.)

Red for living and white for death is the way I was raised and many like myself regarding Mothers Day.

I don't know about any of that. I always thought it was her favorite flower and color, or that it matched her dress or outfit. But what do i know?

no meaning. those are just decorations put b y women for baeauty and satisfaction of the eye for those who wanted to appreciate it. in shiort, it is a matter to calll attention for men
