how to convince my parents to get me the wii with a few games?

im not spoiled but i, "havent lived until i've played the wii" and im not poor but my parents arent exactlythe ones who'll buy me anything

Take them to a store that has the Wii setup, and let them try it out for themselves. Better yet, play some games with them. Try to make it a bonding experience. If they know how much fun the whole family can have, maybe they're more willing to buy the Wii.

That's the whole point of the Wii, to have everyone play together.

Theres no way your going ro be able to get a wii unless you go to an auction site like ebay where there selling for $400 last time i checked for just the system. Stores haven't sold out on games so you should be able to get them for the normal price of $30-50. Just tell them its the only present you want and its the cheapest and most revolutionary, new system out there.

If not I agree that you should get them to play it, everyone that has tried mine has loved it, no matter what their age. It isn't hard to get, just call around and ask when they will be getting a shipment in. I waited for 7 hours in line for mine but that was to be one of the first to get it. Now that a few weeks have passed and regular shipments are coming in it shouldn't be hard to find it. All of the local EB Games and Gamestops are getting at least one shipment per week. Call around and you'll be able to find one.
