The fact that this ol' Tennessee Volunteer just became the biggest Gator fan ever (well, at least until Jan. 9). I'm so so tired of the hype surrounding Ohio St and the Little Ten. I'm confident that UF will help OSU remember the last time they played a team from the SEC, when Tennessee waxed them !!

One more little bit of information for all you Buckeyes...... Ohio State has NEVER beaten an SEC team in a bowl game. Now you know.

Sorry chazohio, but according to the official Sagarin Ratings (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbc06.htm), the Pac-10 is the top rated conference, followed by the SEC, Big East, Big 10, Big 12 and ACC.

And for reference, the last SEC team to play Ohio State was South Carolina in the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day 2001. OSU lost 24-7, but that was also the last game of John Cooper's tenure as Buckeye coach, so that is ancient history when compared to this year's version.

You put a smile on my face! Thanks!

As for SEC not being the hardest conference... Here's the facts!

Michigan's Conference

Ohio #1
Michigan #3
Wisconsin #7
Penn St. #26
Purdue NOT RATED
Minnesota NOT RATED
Indiana NOT RATED
Northwestern NOT RATED
Iowa NOT RATED
Illinois NOT RATED
Michigan State NOT RATED

Florida's Conference

Florida #2
Tennessee #17
S. Carolina #38
Arkansas #12
Auburn #9
LSU #4
Georgia #29
Kentucky NOT RATED
Vanderbilt NOT RATED
Alabama NOT RATED
Ole Miss NOT RATED
Mississippi State NOT RATED

Now tell me who has the hardest conference between michigan and florida!
My point exactly!

I don't think I could ever be called a "Gator Fan" but I'm glad they are going instead of Michigan. That said, OSU will probably win.

Please... the Gators need to step it up quite a bit to beat OSU. Let's not forget... who's been on top all season and who's beat two number 2 teams? About to make it three. OSU will shut out the Gators, quite easily.

LSU beat them after that too - but- this is the Tressle Era - things are different now. I watched Florida and Arkansas last night - is that the best you have? 35 yard rainbow passes? Its going to be a long night Gators.
