Neither sex or money are necessary, but they sure do help things along. If for some reason your spouse couldn't perform sexually due to illness or some other equally valid reason I doubt anyone would divorce because of it. Same goes for when the spouse loses a job or can't work due to a valid reason. If both partners are healthy it's a different story. Most people would rather not satisfy themselves if they are married. Not having money makes it hard to survive. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it just depends on the circumstances.

I have found that both are important. I do believe the most common reason for marriages breaking up is $$$$ problems. It is very stressful in a relationship if you are having money problems. And sex I would think would probably be the next reason. Start paying attention to couples who break up and see what the main cause was.

Neither is necessary, but both will add to the relationship. Some money will be needed for necessities and without sex...huh.....you might not have a marriage.

Sex is necessary, money is not.
Sex is the utmost intimacy of the couple.
Money just makes life a little easier.

Neither are necessary but they both help.
Sex keeps you intimate and entertained so you don't ever lose love.
Money keeps you less worried about a job etc. so you can spend more time with your love.

Both are nice, but I'd say you definitely need at least one or the other. Why would anyone stay with a partner who doesn't turn you on or contribute to the household budget?

Yes. No one is happy in a loveless marriage where the rent and bills aren't paid and there is no food to eat.
