I had a tummy ache all day, felt like an alien trying to bust out of me, headache, everything hurt. I only threw up once and had no diahhrea. Anyone else had this? Was it the flu? I had a flu shot but I guess it didnt work.

It sounds to me like you have a bad case of bloating and gas. Sorry, but a stomach virus has nothing to do with the Flu. They are both caused by viruses, and different strains can cause different symptoms. But a true stomach virus is usually a day or two at best. The Flu is all over and can last for a couple of weeks. You probably have had contact with some of the viruses in the past, and that is why you have a light case. You body has built up an immunity against it. You should feel lucky. Last time I had one, I was sitting on the toilet and had a bucket in front of me. There was no control of either end. (Sorry for the graphics)

If you don't have aches in the rest of your body, a sore throat, AND a fever, you probably don't have the flu. There's lots of other diseases out there. The best way to find out what you have is to see a doctor. In the meantime, drink lots of fluids and rest.

well i learned my lesson, never think you have the flu lol. in febuary i thought i had the flew for 3 days before i went to the hospital, turned out my appendix was about to burst. just keep watch of all your symptoms, if anything gets horribly bad go to the doc

There is no such thing as stomach flu. It could have been food poisoning.
