Ruby-crowned Kinglet?

A little more information will help us identify it, for example how large is it (give rough inches or centimeters, or compare it to another bird species you know), is its body fat or slim, how long is the tail compared to the body, what was it eating, where was it hanging out, and so on. Otherwise, go to a library or bookstore and take a look at birding books.

It might be a ruby crowned kinglet

Could also be the closely related golden crowned kinglet

Those colours also might be something like a Blackburnian warbler

Or a palm warbler

All of those are native to British Columbia
