It's this movie where this guy digs up his great great etc. grandfather to get this crystal skull and finds that he is still alive. Then he discovers that there are all sorts of people after it that come from different time periods. Soon he finds that there is a different world in just about every part of his house. So while he is trying to protect the skull his girlfriend is throwing a party in his new house. Help me out here its driving me nutty. I know it ends with the guy and his friend staying in one of the other worlds and riding off together but that's about it.

It is definitely one of the House movies but not the first one. That one had to do with his old war buddy that kidnapped his son if I remember correctly.
