For a presentation I'm giving on copyright laws I want to have background of music that has been accused of being stolen. Not accused by everyday people, but by a legit # of music insiders/artists/or even the artists that originally recorded the song. The more songs u can name the better, I'm lookin for 20 or so.

The most recent that come to mind are:
"Superfreak" by Rick James, ripped off/mixed into "Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer
"Under Pressure" by Queen and David Bowie ripped off/mixed into "Ice, Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice
"You Can't Catch Me" by Chuck Berry, one line "Here come ol' flattop, / He come groovin' up slowly" ripped off and put into "Come Together" by the Beatles
"Oh, Pretty Woman" by Roy Orbison, bass line and titled ripped off/mixed into "Pretty Woman" by 2Live Crew (Supreme Court judged 2 Live Crew's recording a parody and protected as an original piece of music)

my sweet lord by george harrison. i cant remember the girl bands name, but the song was hes so fine. john fogerty wrote a song called old man down the road, or something like that and was sued by another recording company because it sounded too much like another song. the strange part was he wrote and recorded the song he was being sued over. it was thrown out of court.
