Don't listen to all the women. You don't need to run to the doctor - this is what he will tell you - the same thing happened to me.
He tweaked my nipple a couple times with one hand. It kinda hurt, but I didn't scream or anything, just kinda flinched.
He said "You're starting your puberty. Your body is getting ready to become a father someday. This is a great time of life."
He was right. I thought puberty was great. I was waking up to the world, learning that I had the power to have a great future. The hormones that caused the swollen nips went away - made something else swell. You'll find out about that later.
Life is great and it's about to get better for you, little dude.

There are different reasons for swollen nipples, first I do not know how old are you, if a boy is going through the puberty age, this happening is natural the swollen nipple, usually returns normal and the nipple could be sore for few weeks to few months..
but if the nipple is sore and swollen, and some one is age of 25 plus that could be change in Hormone balance, where male hormone testosterone is low and androgen's i.e female hormone dominate a little... if the nipple is still swollen, you need consultation with Endocrinologist...

I had this happen to me once, apparently there are some sort of glands that can get infected and swollen, you have to get antibiotics for it, so either way you should probably go to the doctor

this is fairly common in younger guys....not to worry, just see the family doc. and he will make it better. it is just swollen glands or irritated.

Men can get breast cancer, too. You need to see a doctor.
