Within 70-80 Fahrenheit otherwise you risk high bills with unnecessary waste of energy. During summer its 72, but in the winter, try using more energy efficent methods of warming your house. If you or your family stay in a certain area, then buy those types of parabolic heat dishes that will warm up a certain area. If you move around, put one in each room. This will save at least 50% than if you started warming the whole house which would be extremely unncessary fo you to do.

I use 68 when I'm home and 66 while we're sleeping or out of the house. Programmable thermostats make it very easy for you.

Most people have a multiple setting t-stat. Take time to read the directions. If you don't have directions, download them from the manufacturers web site.
Home time should be between 68 and 72. Away time around 62. And sleep time should be based on what is comfortable.
Good Luck!

If you are not worried about the bill you can set it at 70 for a day and the next day adjust it 2 degrees up or down for a day and continue until you like the temp.

There are World Health Organisation guidelines for best temperatures for good health. I think 16 Celsius in the winter is the lowest you should set it before health problems become a risk. (I think that's about 62F.)

It is sorta a no brainer question, Dude. 70 to 73 is probably the most healthful & reasonably energy efficient. However, it really depends on your comfort level. I have been forced to keep it as cold as I can stand or keep one room heated to almost comfortable due to costs (also hot in summer). My mood improves as my comfort level does.

Well, I'm not using one at the moment. My windows are all open and there's a nice breeze. I can tell you that it is 83.7 degrees F, and 58% humidity at my desk by the window.
