Microsoft word has a number of different symbols used in science and different languages. Go to "insert" and "symbol" from the menu at the top, then look for the characters you want, like the upside down question mark and stuff.

It's basically like typing in English except you have many diacritical marks to contend with. If you are using Microsoft Word, these should help you:

alt+160=á
alt+130=é
alt+161=í
alt+163=ú
alt+129=ü
alt+165=Ñ
alt+144=É
alt+154=Ü
alt+168=¿
alt+173=¡
alt+164=ñ
alt+175=»
I know they seem tedious, but, after awhile, they become automatic. ¡Suerte!

Go to Control Panel and find
Regional and Language Options
If you don't see that, click Classic Options on the LEFT hand side of that window.

After you're done go to WORD, WORDPAD and choose SPA in the TOOLBAR you'll see EN on the right down corner...change it to SPA

GOOD LUCK
