I bought my girlfriend a ring for chritstmas..but i have a feeling that she knows its coming. So i'm trying to disguise the gift..perhaps by putting the actual ring box in a bigger box, so that she might be thrown off?

maybe i could try that thing in tv shows where the initial box is really big..but the boxes get smaller and smaller until she last box remaining is the one with the ring in it.

idk..but sugguestions are needed!

putting them in boxes is FRUSTRATING!

you can though - put that ring box in a shoe box and fill that box with styrofoam peanuts. heh.

or tie the box in a way to make it as a necklace with string/yarn. tie that around a stuffed bear's neck

OR

since she knew you are getting her the ring, put the ring someplace you know she will find it OR get a friend of hers to drop a hint you are getting a ring (and you know she will be quiet about it too, if she is that type of person) ... but give her something else on christmas morning. try to get her the same sort of size of the present or well, anything for that matter, if you cant find something the same size.

that way when she will be a little bummed out or pissed - you would say something like, "what? were you expecting this?" then show the ring.

:}

good luck!

That's what I would suggest. Start with a shirt box size - and for extra fun, put a little something in at each level (chocolates and another box, socks and another box - that sort of thing). If she knows it's coming put it in the 5th layer - if not make it 3rd.

You could also get a doll and make the ring part of the dolls jewelry (like a bracelet or something) or stick it under her favorite chocolate in a box of chocolates that you've wrapped. You could get her a pair of gloves and put the ring on the ring finger of the glove.

Peace!

Get a huge box and put tons of that styrofoam peanut things.......you can find these at Walmart in the section that sell all the mailing boxes and bubble wrap. Anyway, put all of that in there along with the ring box in there. I think this would be a super cute idea b/c she would have to search for it.

When I wrap something small, I put it in a large box and put those blue hard plastic ice packs in them, so when someone shakes the box they hear liquid sloshing around. Really throws them off. Also cans of pop rolling around the box gets the gift getter wondering about the contents.

My brother played this trick on me when he got me a light, small gift for xmas. He put it inside a bigger box and filled the big box with anything and everything he could find to give it weight. It worked, drove me nuts trying to figure out what was in there!

Tie the ring to a teddy bear and then wrap the teddy bear without using a box. She'll feel the package is soft and won't be one the wiser.

That old trick of the progressively smaller boxes is an oldie. She will figure that out real quick.

Buy her a cardigan. Wrap it up all pretty, put the ring in the pocket.

Dude!

You're so cool. K, here's what you do. Buy a nice teddy bear......maybe 15-20 inches tall or so. Something really really cute. Then fasten the ring around his neck with a ribbon, and wrap him without a box at all!

You will rule the world!!!!

I've done the big box thing.. I adored the expression on my bf's face...well worth it.... You could also throw her off by getting her something else.. and acting like that's all you got her...then slip the ring somewhere she'll find it... when she has already given up hope...

Find the ugliest sweater you can find. I mean, something her grandmother wouldn't even wear. Wrap it in a nice box (all frilly and stuff). Have the ring sewn onto a part of the sweater. Maybe at the bottom or something.
