Nature's harsh realities teach everyone one common thing, " Don't be a hero."

Wise people lie low-profiled because they have nothing to loose.

A nation who wants fame will definitely loose a fortune earning that name.

Yes, people are more at risk for poverty. I used to have a well paying full-time job. Now almost all the job offerings are for part time jobs, because the employers don't want to pay benefits. It is not unusual for me to work a 10 or 11 hour day and only get paid when a client shows up, so often I only get 30 or 40 dollars for that 10/11 hour day.

Things are getting bad. The cost of living doubles every few years and our wages and raises go down. Many of our jobs are off shored now and even when you make a good salary it's not enough. I don't know how it will be when my grandchildren grow up. I pray for them.

Every time someone brings this up, on important thing is always left out. The biggest revenue makers in this country are:

Federal government
State government
Local government

They take our money like it grows on trees and then tell us that we are too poor to afford things. So they raise our taxes again and make us more poor.
State and local tax revenues have exploded over the past couple decades.
When everyone is servant of the state, everyone is poor.
