I mean I am there to enjoy my food. The last thing I want to think about or look at is something this person is using during sex. I usually call and complain to the manager. Anyone else in the same boat?

I think you need to pull your head out of the gutter. If that is all you can think about is the tongue ring in the waitresses mouth and what she uses it for, I think you have a problem. How ridiculous to call and complain to the manager when you are the one who obviously has a problem. You may need to seek help. I am serious that is not a normal reaction. Seek help before your thoughts turn into something more.

So if you look at someones mouth in general, which can be used for sexual pleasure, does that disgust you? Piercings in different places only have a sexual meaning if they are assigned that by people who have bias. Piercings are a personal choice, which we value in America and its your personal choice to leave the restaurant, it doesn't make it right or polite but you can still do it if someones jewelry offends you that much.

Personally, it doesn't bother me. Unless they're licking my food before they bring it to me, what does their tongue have to do with it? And your mind must definitely be in the gutter to immediately associate a tongue ring with sex.

People don't get piercings for sexual purposes(most don't anyway), they get them as a form of self expression.

I think you're a bit too uptight. And I'd like to clarify that I do not have any piercings, except for my ears.

Cleanliness in food service - it is an age old concern - but so is finding good help. Trying to replace someone because they are offensive to a portion of the clientele is never worth it to any establishment. Next time you find yourself with an unnerving server ask to be moved to another station. You may be delayed a few minutes in service but at least you won't have to be concerned with the piercing. Good Luck!

Is the person putting his or her tongue into your food? Then what do you care? Do you think of masturbation every time you see a guy's hand? It's a safe bet that every man's hand has seen much more action than a person's tongue ring, and hands are much more likely to encounter your food, too. Think about that the next time you try to get someone fired.

Some places allow their employee's to have piercings. If the employee was playing with it infront of you i would think that was rude but if they were just talking then its not so much rude. It is their choice and if it offends you that is your personal problem and you should just get over it. Don't always assume they are using it for sex or any other reasons. They just may have it because they like it for them and it expresses who they are.

It make absolutely no difference to me if wait staff has a tongue ring. By the way...my daughter has a tongue ring....and it is not primarily used for sex...she wears a tongue ring because she likes the way it looks. Chill out and quit looking for things to complain about..life is way to short for that, and remember...we are all individuals with different likes and dislikes, just because you don't like something (tongue rings) it doesn't mean nobody should like them.

WOW..you have NO WAY of knowing that they are using their peircing during sex, or that they are even having sex. Piercings are a personal choice, and they are none of your business. If the manager/establishment sees nothing wrong with tongue rings and you find them offensive, maybe you shouldn't eat there.....

don't you have better things to do than complain about someones jewelry?

you have a dirty mind if you are visualizing this person performing sexual acts with their pierced tongue. get a life!
