Hi, Just a thought, don't turtles hibernate? Maybe they are in that cycle. My turtles use to eat salad ingredients and their most favorite was cantaloupe. I don't know what kind of turtles you have so it is hard to say what you should be feeding them. I had mine for years and years and I never bought turtle food. They lived in my backyard.

If the turtle food is pellets, they actually may be sick of them. Turtles, like humans, enjoy a varied diet of pellets, bloodworms, shrimp and cat food (yes, cat food. Our turtle loves it). Turtles also don't need to eat for up to a week depending on how big the last meal was. Ideally, feed about once every 3-4 days, and once every two weeks, get them out of the tank, into a large bucket with some warm water and feed them a large meal in that.

What kinds of turtles do you have? What is "turtle food?" I've had red-necked sliders who spend their time in both water and on land. I used to feed them feeder goldfish from the pet store. Maybe they need a little more protein?

In case you have a box turtle:
Food intakes will be less than optimal when animals are cold, sick or stressed. Low food intake is unhealthy for your box turtle and will increase its susceptibility to serious disease. Factors that may stress your turtle include a cage that is too small or too cold, recent shipping, and dehydration from infrequent soaking. Ensure that the humidity level and temperature is appropriate for the species, and observe for stressful conditions. If low food intake persists, consult your veterinarian.

And in the adventure that your turtle is larger than 3 inches you ought to easily feed it another day (for a reliable feeding reaction).

turtles like a vareity. if there not eating pellets, they might be getting older and want more veggies. try romain lettuce (not regular lettuce), carrots, thaw out some forzen peas, bananas. grapes, DO NOT FEED GOLDFISH (there fatty and have alot of bones) give them feeder rosies or guppies. and if that doesnt work take them to the vet they could have an infection
