Of course. No one wants to hear anything negative. If you are to keep your job, you must pretend to be happy. If you want to keep your friends, same thing.

Many times I smile at others, talk to them, and pretend I'm happy. But other times when I feel sad inside, I keep my distance from my friends, and family. I don't want to discourage others, or put my problems ahead of their own. I like to help people, and that does keep my mind off of my personal problems.
When I look or act depressed, it can bring others down, like my husband for instance.
I can overcome my problems with the help of studying the bible, prayer, and spending time with my children. Also doing crafts, or answering questions on Yahoo, gets my mind off of things.
Usually the paying of bills, health problems, and rising of prices,
is what gets me down. I try to focus on the fact that I'm not alone in this world, everyone has a similar problem. So I try to learn from them, and move on. Don't dwell on the problems, life has so much good, that I don't want to miss out on it.

Yes, at times, in the business world, it's called "FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT". And that means even though it's Christmas and you have tons of work to do, we can still say Happy Holidays and wish someone a good day or good holiday!
Sometimes it's also called having good manners to try and treat others as we'd like to be treated.
Sometimes we waste our time, but then at least we tried.
GOD bless.

Always..I suffer depression and people don't want to be around people with depression. They only want to be around people who are "happy go lucky..life is great " ALL the time...I have had a lot of people that have said I am sick of you being so down so bye..never heard from again...so I have learned to hide it very well. Only the people VERY close to me know when I am down

Sometimes. I work as a counselor and my clients don't need to hear about my problems. Sometimes acting cheerful makes me feel cheerful eventually, but it doesn't always work.

Unlike shrek who has layers I am more like donkey I wear my feelings on my sleeves. If I am happy you are going to know it. If I am pissed you are going to know it, it is as simple as that.
