If you do the crime and you have done the time. Should you also have to pay compensation? and why?

Jail is payment to society. Compensation is payment to the victim. The victim is not made whole by your sitting in jail.

Are we talking robbery here? Give us some more info. Okay. So you've done the time. Good start. Of course you should have to pay compensation to the person you committed the crime against. Your jail or prison time satisfied the state it did NOT satisfy the victim who should be compensated for what you deprived him of. I've had several things stolen from me over the course of my life & I worked hard to earn the money to buy them. You're darn tootin a victim should be compensated.
