It depends on what your budget is. Volvo's have held the title for safest cars forever but they keep they value pretty well. It also depends on how comfortable your teen is because large cars are usually safer but they are hard to park and navigate. the best bang(safe) for the buck would probably be a Volvo 240, they are older and cheaper, still safe and pretty easy to fix yourself( if your into cars).

To me it all depends on the size of the teen if the teen is a very petite person then a small 4 Door jetta or a Volvo. And for an average size teen a fusion or a KIA and for a plush teen a ford five hundred or an impala

A small car that does not do over 100kms an hour.
I know that Speedos do over 100km but if you buy them something small like a Toyota echo or something similar they use a lot less fuel and they can not do high speeds that way your keeping them safe on the road too.
I would have a look at carsguide.com.au for some ideas..hope that helps

If you're not a great driver right now, you should get something really big like a 1974 Cadillac or a 1974 Le Sabre to learn to drive in. That way, if you hit something or someone hits you, you'll walk away from it unscathed and safe!
But, if you're a great driver and your parents realize that you are. Get a Toyota Yaris, they're cool cars and they're great on gas!
Good Luck and Be Safe out there!

Volvo 240. Speed should not be a factor if you are just learning how to manuever.
Volvo are know for their 500,000 mile capability (1/2 million mile club).
Good Luck!
You first car should be a safe one.

Just short of a tank..lol..j/k....The Volvo is rated safe, but it is pricey, but any 4 door mid size car, like a Ford (Taurus),Chevy's,Pontiacs,& Dodges all have great choices..smaller cars are alot less safe when in a collision,as well as SUV's due to roll overs..Go for safety rather than pretty looks...good luck!

a toyota camry or a honda accord would both be a good choice. they aren't so big that you would have trouble parking, but there is more to them than a small civic or corolla. plus they are reliable and good on gas. no matter what you end up with, make sure you keep your seatbelt on. good luck & happy holidays to you, too!

Look it doesn't matter what car your driving,if your not able to keep control of the vehicle while on the road way,it doesn't matter.
driving is about the driver,as its just a machine,a lot depends on you.good luck.
