1989 Thunderbird. When its cold outside, like under 45*, my front struts make a loud "pshhh" noise when i go over a bump. after i drive for a while, it goes away. do i need new struts?

no,your struts are still good.mine does that too when the weather is cold.its the rubber bushing on the strut that gets cold and stiff,then makes a noise,but after you drive it for a while it will quit.

Sounds like you need new struts. Do you have the ride control option? If so, it could just be the fittings or the plumbing for that. In that case you'd needto check it on a lift. Hope this helps.

It sounds like a shock to me. Not dangerous (unless it goes on forever and makes things come loose), just an uncomfortable ride.
