when all we hear on the news is the prostitution of other countries and child sex slaves and all kinds of gross stuff. The women I have met are really nice and looking for a permanent relationship with a man, marriage and the whole nine yards. they are not lose morally or near as bad as the women in the other countries.

I think to a lot of it is where you go looking for women. Go to church and you get a better class of people than where that kind of music is.

I do not know who gave you this idea. The majority of people do not think that American women are lose morally. As you said, phenomenon like prostitution and sexual abuse exist in many countries.
However, saying that "women in the other countries" are worse than they are in America is absolute nonsense. Evidently, you did not travel too much or if you did you saw only what you wanted to see and not what really is going on.
There are good, moral men and women everywhere in the world regardless of the country and nobody is better or worse than anybody else.

If I came from another galaxy and saw the television, I could presume that in general humans are depraved. Take a look at the music videos, pornography it is all hard or soft porn. If the media is presenting a person, place or thing in that manner, one would have to get to know individual persons and not pidgeon hole the entire group! That's what intelligent beings do.
By the way, America has its own problems with sex slaves via modeling agencies that trick young submissive girls out of the country too. America also has child prostitution and child marriages illegally. They don't like having their dirty laundry aired. Slavery doesn't happen here or does it?

Uhh...Maybe because of our 'celebs' or the fact that some women line up like lemmings every time a Girls Gone Wild film crew is around. People only understand what they see, and since this is all that floods the airways, it perpetuates these ideas. The Bachelor, Marry a Millionaire, Flavor of Love and all these shows have allowed the better majority of women to be painted as whores by a few really skanky sluts.
Come on now Women!!!....Stand up for yourselves, and put an end to this tripe.

What countries?
American women, like American men, do seem to be more interested - on average - in having a good time and getting their ashes hauled than they are in facing the responsibilities and hassles that go hand in hand with having good, lasting relationships, at least compared with other Western countries.
Been my experience, anyway. Seems like divorce is just expected in this country - even by people who are preparing to get married.

Perhaps it's the way women are shown as on TV such as all the TV shows, movies & music videos. And a large part of it I think is because of the way women are treated by men. In music videos from what I can tell the men make the girls look like objects or playthings. It's sad.

Really? Only one country is the largest purveyor of porn in the world. Care to guess which it is? And with porn comes stripping, sluts, whores, slavery, drug abuse, child sexual abuse...
Secondly, care to guess what the rate of illegitimate births is in the U.S.? 1 in 3.
You also have one of (if not) the highest incidence of divorce. Over 50%. But this is only about half the women's fault.
How many "young ladies" of other countries do you know of that have flashed their vagina in public 4 times in the last 2 months alone, as has Lindsay Lohan? How many non-American mothers of 2 small children flash their vagina in public like BritneySpears recently did?
If anything, the media is portraying Americans better than they really are. That would explain how some of you got the idea that American women aren't that bad.
Suck it up and face reality. You asked where they get the idea. Now, you know.

The America media does our women a great disservice.
They are portrayed as sluts at any opportunity.
I too have not found it to be the case, but somebody in the media is pushing the slut thing in a big way.

I am American and my husband is from another country. His mother was infuriated when she found we were getting married. She thought the same thing about us American women; that we were all easy and that we cheat on our husbands. She got that mindset from watching American television. Just watch MTV for less than 30 minutes, and if that's all you know about American you too will come across thinking the same thing.

The media (I hate to place blame) portrays us in many cases as easy. Many American women choose to have a lot of sex. Not all.
You are right about church and I believe in God, but my local churches sound very....brainwashed to me. I need a more progressive church. What's a gal to do?
