i have 4 three cent stamps and 3 five cents stamps using one or more of thest stamps, how many different amounts of postage can i make

you can do combinations of 1,2,3,4,5,6,& 7 stamps.
these combinations yield the following results: (in cents)
3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 27

The trick is to look at each possible combination of stamps: 1 at a time; two at a time, three at a time and so forth until you use all 7 together.

So, 19 results.

Well, as it turns out, there aren't any shared multiples, so the answer is:

3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 27 = 19

i think it is 7! wich is 7*6*5*4*3*2*1=5040
