I love Egypt so much. I actually always go to Cairo/Giza which I just can not get enough of. Of course if you go, you have to see the Pyramids and the Sphynx. When you go there, they offer camel/horse rides which I do recommend. At night they have a light show at the Pyramids, on different nights they do it in different languages and I have forgotten when the English one is done, sorry.

You also have to go to the Citadel. It is absolutely beautiful. They have the Mohamed Ali (not the boxer) mosque where he is buried in. You can go inside and enjoy the beautiful work that is there. Also at the Citadel they have different museums which you need to go through. In the military museum they have Israeli and Egyptian tanks that you can pose by.

There is also a place called the Pharonic Village. It is a very good tour on boat on the different phases of Egypt. They have a little play about Moses. You learn how they make papyrus and can partake in little "battles" (we did and it was great!)

There is the Giza Zoo. We had so much fun there. You can pay a little extra (it is only $2 to get in) and you will have a private guide that brings you to the animals. We have a picture of us holding a baby lion, feeding a bear and hippos, just tons of things.

The Nile has many boats that you can on to eat or just to hang out. There is this Chinese one( cant remember the name of it) but it goes down the Nile and back for a few hours with the great food. There are other ones like the Nile Crystal where you have a show that consists of belly dancing, magic, ethnic dancing, and it is Arabic food they serve (really good). There are so many there you can choose. We go to Chili's and eat outside on the top of the boat for hours.

The bridge that crosses the Nile, you can park and hang out on. THey have people that "rent" chairs and they sell tea. When it is hot out you will enjoy the nice breeze that you get!

Do not forget to go into the little sheesha (hooka) cafes and relax. IF you go to Heliopolis they have "the middle east biggest mall" (by the airport) that is a great for shopping, looking, eating everything you expect.

Remember it is a tourist place, but still a Muslim country. A female is not expected to cover at all, but wear modest clothes. It is going to be terribly hot and humid in the summer but sleeveless shirts should not be worn alone.

I almost forgot the Cairo Museum!!!! Words can not express this museum. It is breathtaking, so much in it you have to go.

There is still so much more like the Khalili Bazarre but I think I have already used too much space. I have pasted a link that gives you many other good ideas on where to go and where to eat, etc. Enjoy yourself, because it is the best place I have ever been too. So much so I plan on moving there!
