My husband's favorite PS2 game is God of War. He loves it!! He also likes the final fantasy games. I want to get his a game for Christmas but I have no idea what game!! Based on his favorite games that I listed above, does anyone have any suggestions of games that are similar to God of War and FF that I could buy for him?

If he likes FF, I guess I'll name some RPGs here...
Shadow Hearts: Covenant is a unique, good-quality RPG for the PS2. Shadow Hearts: From the New World is good as well. Dragon Quest VIII is also a great classic RPG.
Though some people argue over the quality of the story (I find it starts really good but gets bad towards the end), Star Ocean: Till the End of Time is another fun RPG with a lot of replay value, I found.
I've also heard some people saying God of War is similar to Shadow of the Colossus in some of its gameplay (not so much in story/characters/atmosphere). I haven't played GoW myself, though... SOTC is an excellent game regardless.

Well, I think GOW and FF are the best, too! Does he have Final
Fantasy XII (12) yet? It is SO awesome! Also, Shadow of the Colossus is a great game. And Wild Arms (part 3) is a good RPG, and Dark Cloud 2. But if he doesn't have FFXII yet, he will LOVE it! It's the best Final Fantasy game ever!! Also, Ico is an excellent game.

WEll if he's rly into the final fantasy games then i really suggest the newest one Final Fantasy XII. The newest one ;) its something he'll be sure to love.
if not this then i definetely suggest Iko!
It has amazing graphics, its an amazing adventure game, and just incredible!
Definetely Iko or FF XII
Iko is by the same people who make Shadow of Colloses ;D

god of war was the best game ever!!!! your husband has good taste. i was also hoping to get into the final fantasy series too. i am not sure of any game that compares to god of war but he would probably like prince of persia series (especially the two thrones). he may also like the ratchet and clank series. also the devil may cry series. if you check around on the internet i'm sure you'll find tons of related games.
