If you mean on earth, the closest estimate in July of 2005 was
6,440,000,000. And the current estimate (according to the World Population clock) is 6,669,508,000.

Typing earth population in my Yahoo search, it came to a site that shows that there at approximately 6.7 trillion people on earth with approximately 8 to 12 people being born every second.
