I'm looking for black boots to wear with a skirt and sweater..and possibly leggings. Also maybe over jeans. I'm 5'10" so I'm not looking for a big heel.

I personally like the second pair more. They have more styling and look like they are of a better quality.

I like the flat tan pair better. They would go best with a cute skirt, as long as the skirt isn't really long so that it touches the tops of the boots. Jeans would look really good too, and you could wear them tucked in or out. I'm about 5'10" too, and I know from experience that you'll feel more comfortable and less like you're towering over people if you have on a flat shoe.

I think the first pair... ugg boot looking style rules and I can see the first pair matching all of the things you are looking to wear with them! Especially over the jeans!!!
And even with the skirt and sweater!!
Go for the first one's I say! They look awesome! I want some too lol!

I for sure like the first pair better. The second pair is to busy with the buckle things. I also like the fur around the top, I think it makes them look totally sexy.

The second choice. You're obviously tall for a girl and I think these boots would emphasize your height even more and make your legs appear longer which is always nice.

Ooh, they're both very cute, but I'd personally go with the second one. I'm also 5'10", and I'd love to own that pair.
(I've seen enough of the slouchy/furry boots.)

neither. look for boots with a kitten heel,scrunched like the first ones, and for material look for a fuax/suede or leather. no canvas or plastic.
