My name's Astrid, it is Old Norse and it means strength or beauty.

I love it, I think it's pretty :)

I've never been teased or bullied because of my unique name.

Other variations are Asta or Astra, which mean star.

My nicknames are Asta, which most people call me, and Assy, which is what my friends call me.

I'd like to have a girl. The girls names I like are Kimber, Laurel, Emlyn, Scarlet, Kalela.

Look up names of flowers, jewels, or use names of months, or seasons. things like that. When i was pregnant i would take walks in the grave yard and look at the names. I'm using flower names for my kids! My daughter is Lily and my next will be Daisy.

I personally think Elaine is very pretty.
Lucie (the french spelling) is also very nice.
Try making up your own. Combine two names you like a lot.
