Abortion is a bit more complicated than women wanting to feel powerful. It often happens because the mother and/or father feels unable to give the child a good life (I think a lot of young women have abortions because of pressure from the fathers). And let's face it, there have been plenty of cases of adoptive or foster parents abusing kids, to discourage expecting mothers from going down that road.
Sometimes it is a decision made because the woman was raped. There are a lot of reasons, and you can't generalise. I'm not sure I could do it, myself, but I can understand why some people do. Honestly, I think you're right about some people making such decisions arbitrarily, and it's the wrong thing to do. However, sometimes it's a legitimate choice of having the mercy not to deliver a child into a life of pain and hardship. I wonder at the nobility of saving a life, if that's all it has to look forward to.

I'm a woman, I have given birth three times and have never had an abortion. I don't think I am "supeior". It takes a man AND a woman to have a baby. I am blessed that I am a woman, and I am blessed that I ( as a woman) get to feel a baby move inside of me. There is no feeling like it. But hey, the man doesn't have to go through the pain of labor and delivery either. I don't think I can destroy life, I think abortion is wrong. I don''t think it should be a woman's right to kill another person regardless of how small or how dependant on them that child is.
Maybe your question was a little too generalized...there are alot of us women who don't fit into the catagory you described. Men can be generalized and catagorized too, but how unfair is that?

I think that some women just get themselves in over their heads and they don't think of what they're really doing when they get an abortion. And some guys think they're superior by fathering a child, then not wanting to be part of the child's life or pay child support. So I guess it goes both ways.

WOMEN feel superior because they are! check your question ! Anyone can take a life, just because they want too, ever heard of a gun! Taking a life and giving birth isn't all women do! Men kill more humans than women do, and not all women have abortions!

yeah, and because most guys don't grow up. I know you'll ignore that, but deep down you know we mature faster. You like to say fun, we like to have lives
Plus men are more scared of thier wives than women are of thier husbands usually because we can deny sex and often men find it impossible to do that, and dont say you gave us anything, we fought just as hard as you would have in our position you have no control over anything anymore, and I dont think Im suprior than men in general, just most men I meet, I do think some aer superior to me, it is the person, not the gender, stop stereo typing

first off in many cases its the man who wants the abortion. second off an abortion is not murder, the fetus does not have any organs or anything and even if it did it couldn't use them when you are allowed to have an abortion. third off women don't think they are superior to all men just the ignorant ones.
