We don't know why Orson hit Mike - that's one of the mysteries this season. We do know the following:

1. When Mike went to see Orson, Orson noticed that Mike had some dental work done in prison. So he knows something about prison dentistry. When Mike asked him how he knew that, Orson said something about working in or near a prison, and lied about where he used to live. We don't know why.

2. Orson was having an affair with the woman who Mike is suspected of murdering. It's also possible that Mike was sleeping with her, since he remembers her wearing lingerie with him.

We don't know if Orson is the good guy or the bad guy here - maybe he believed that Mike killed his girlfriend and tried to kill him because of it (although I think Orson's wife is the real murderer), or maybe it's related to Orson's mysterious past. I guess we'll find out later this season.

B/C they do that before the holidays sometimes they don't film enough shows for the season. Orson hit Mike b/c he supposedly killed Monique who was his lover.

I don't know but it is annoying. At least now we know that he didn't kill Alma. I think Mike knows something about Orson from prison. That was in the doctor's office last season. But they haven't told us for sure.
