think its the easiest and fastest way to shop for that special occasion. But it too is the most UN emotional of gifts I think. You can pick up a gift card to almost anywhere at the local drugstore now. So I personally would rather get something I really didn't like and know that someone took the time to pick it out than a gift card that they picked up along the way.

It's such a person thing. I would appreciate it myself but I am hard to buy for. Some want homemade little house on the prairie gifts too. Some of the same people who want homemade gifts hate them when they get them so all I can say is know the gift receiver.

Money is always the best gift, that way the person can get what they want and you don't have to worry about them hating the gift.

I'd rather have a gift card then money. I like giving.

I think that's ok, more people are used to gift cards and you feel more comfortable with that than with giving something else

K-Mart or Wal-Mart gift cards would be okay but I'd rather just have the cash so I could spend it wherever I choose and get what I really want.

I'd rather just get money. (unless it's from someone who knows me well enough to get something I will like or need)
Actually, I'd rather get nothing from people that don't know me very well (like at work) I think it's silly to buy cheap little gifts for each other.

Gift cards are cool, as long as they can be used anywhere or are for somewhere I like.

It is always nice to receive, I personally like seeing the reaction of someone receiving. The joy and appreciation them may express.
