When your weekend, which is supposed to be a time you can relax from school, you have to spend half the time doing homework
I have been working all day(one one thing) and I know i will be doing at least two more hours

Just wait until college and hope that your family can support your post-educational studies. Working full-time by night, and going to school as a full-time student by day, is far from easy. I work to pay for tuition and rent, and then I go to school so that someday I can hopefully get a better job.
In your case, unless your getting straight A's WITHOUT doing homework, then everything you do to prepare yourself for college is going to make your future EASIER. Do the work NOW, and rest later. Otherwise, feel free to procrastinate and suffer for it later. I don't mean to be harsh, just pointing that out because reality is hard.
Oh and like the other poster said, take breaks when they're required. Getting completely stressed out is only going do more damage then good. But seriously, doing the work now saves you from doing the work later. I mean that in an immediate way AND in the long term way.

In some case I feel some schools do give a bit too much homework. Even my son has a lot of his time taken up by homework and I allow him breaks in between. But just wait until you start working, there will be times you will have to work on the weekends or even do reports over the weekend to improve your status or for a salary increase. I have had to do that. Believe me, I did not get the best education and I have had to work even harder then someone who has a degree just to prove myself, taking up many weekends and missing a lot of time with my son. (Geez, I sound so much like a parent..lol) Truly, work hard now, get a good education and when it comes time for a career, it will be YOU who sends someone home with work to do over the weekend.
But take a break now and then. Watch a favorite movie, talk to a friend, take a walk or play a video game for a little while but then return to work and do your best.
Good Luck.

I have heard criticism for the past couple of years about how much homework students of all ages are getting. It's certainly different from when I was in school. I don't know what the motivation is, but yeah, it's unfair. You should be enjoying your youth. Plenty of time to work on the weekends when you're an old 37 year old like me!

Life isn't fair, keep your goals in life in mind and work for them. If you are seriously doing one day on one thing, it makes me think that you have probably been putting it off until the last minute and it is due on Monday. Get it all over and done with straight up and then enjoy your weekend without having to think about school work

Let me tell you sweetheart... wait until you have a job and have to work for a living. 60 to 70 hours a week at minimum wage just to pay your bills and you'll wish you were back doing homework.
But seriously it's to try to teach you self discipline. Plus the reiteration that doing homework causes helps you remember better. There is a reason for it. It's not just to torment you :)

Not really. Homework is for YOUR benefit. In the long run, it will help your studies and perhaps even earn you a big, fat paycheck when you decide on a career. Good luck and happy studies!

But haven't you heard the old saying "who ever said life was fair"
You mention you had a nap on the couch. You can't blame that on anyone but yourself.

Well, I think it is a bit unfair.
That is called "life", just like going to work is unfair! But you get paid, right?
So just go and do your homework! Earn your knowledge!

yes it is unfair and I think you shouldn't do it. I just noticed McDonald's is having to raise it's wages because there aren't enough high school drop outs and were going to need you working there.
