Yes, holding my dad's hand in the hospital when he passed away with cancer in 1998.
Yes again when my kids got very ill and there was nothing to do but wait and see if they would recover, I am happy to say they are all healthy today.
Prayer substains us during these times, but as Humans we are naturally going to feel helpless.

Yes we witnessed a very bad car/motorcycle accident. The motorcyclist was so severely injured that we could only stand there helplessly until the EMS arrived. He had a severe head trauma and basically cracked his head open. We found out later that he had died from his injuries.

Yes, I think we have all been there before. It is really hard but sometimes it makes us stronger and better able to cope with things that come our way. You can only do so much.
