I don't know who sings them but one song is old and one is more new...
the first song the singer says "keep hoping,and wishing,and thinking,and praying...."
the other song is somewhat new...i heard it on the radio.."take my hands and live forever.........(?????)......i'll stay with you"

first one is a classic by Dusty Springfield called Wishin & Hopin (60's). She is the original!

Wishin' and Hopin' - Ani DiFranco did a cover of it on the My Best Friends Wedding soundtrack, but it's also done by many other singers. Like Dusty Springfield and Dionne Warwick. I don't know the other one...

For the second one its: "take my hands now, we'll run forever... i can feel the storm inside you.. i'll stay with you..."
its called "Stay With You" by Goo Goo Dolls. Its on the album Let Love In. It came out early this year i think.
