They can, especially if companys are coming out with new laptops and want the stores to move the older laptops along. Just keep an eye on the store ads.

Laptops/Notebooks generally get cheaper during Christmas and as new models are released. Lenovo does a refresh about twice a year knocking down the cost of previous models .
