The greatest potential difficulty with a new economic dominance by China would be if that country refuses to recognize its potential impact on other economies and what effects that might ultimately have on its own economy.

The rising economy of Japan could have been a threat to the U.S. economy, but the economic powerbrokers in Japan recognized the importance of the U.S. economy to its own interests. Japan absolutely needs the United States to have a strong economy for trade purposes, but also because Japan is very dependent on the U.S. for its defense.

After World War II the U.S., which was then the dominant economic power in the world, recognized the need for economic stability in Europe and worked to help rebuild those countries. The investment paid off for all parties concerned.

If the Chinese recognize and understand that the United States role as a trade partner and buyer of its goods is a significant force in the Chinese economy all will be happy and the economies of both countries will continue to be strong.

The United States does produce a number of products that China likes and buys, notably airliners and some consumer items, such as appliances. As China increasingly develops its own ability to build these items on its own it will need to have to reach out to other nations to develop markets.

China has the potential to be energy self-sufficient, but depends heavily--as does the U.S.--on imported fuels. Its thirst for petroleum has impacted the price of crude oil and had major impact on the U.S. economy at the consumption level. This is a potential problem in the future as well, and add a third component to this--the growing economic power and fuel demands of India.

I don't think it will lead to a cold war, although there could be some conflicts in economic interest and some friction in the near term.

The cold war between the Soviet Union and the Western powers was of little benefit to anyone, other than the armaments industry. Nobody in authority really wants to go through that again. It should be recognized that the old Soviet Union and the People's Republic of China are very different governments philosophically, and I think this makes a cold war less likely.

The US has passed it's peak. The only question now is how long will it take for it to become another France. China is gaining much more economically than they hope to do militarily. Perhaps the emerging countries in the middle east will be the super power in the next 50 years but China is the only country with both the manpower and money to stand up to Islam.

No under no circumstances. I even have experienced what the prophet Joel reported, in Joel, cha.2:vs.28-29.(KJV) And it got here to bypass interior the e book of Acts, cha.2:vs.a million-4; additionally verses sixteen-18. additionally examine verses 36-38. Now you have not any excuse for not listening to the actuality. What have you ever experienced on your unbelief? Does that by some ability pose a danger on your person status quo?
