What do you think is going to happen with all the goalie situations? Who do you think will be the starter and what do you think will happen to the other guy- will he stay as a backup or will he be traded?
Anaheim- Giguere and Bryzgalov
Buffalo- Miller and Biron
Colorado- Budaj and Theodore
Montreal- Huet and Aebischer
Ottawa- Emery and Gerber
San Jose- Toskala and Nabakov
I feel so bad for the backups because they're so good (nabakov, bryzgalov, biron, gerber, abby, theo) that they would all probably be #1 goalies on other teams, yet they have to sit on the bench each game knowing they can't play.

Bryzgalov is not ready to jump up and take control of a team, yes he looks good with his defence in front of him but look at last year when they had to go back and forth between Giguere and Bryzgalov hes just not ready. Biron has shown he can be number one and he will get his chance sonner then later he will be traded by the trade deadline im almost 90% sure it will happen. Theodore has lost his love of the game and will never be what he once was. and for Budaj hes also not ready to be number one but he is put in that posisition and i think it will only hurt him in the long run. Huet had a great season last year and for sure you will give him another shot, and the Habs kept Abby just incase Huet was a fluke last year but now you can see Huet is back on top of the world and he is looking as good as last year, so you might say Abby will be gone by the trade deadline. Gerber wasnt even that good last year and he is even worst with the Sens, Emery was great for the Sens last year when Hasek went out but i think the just played him way to much that he was just to tired for the playoffs but he has shown he can be a true #1. Nobakov and Taskala are looking good but remember they have a team up front that can score so they can leave that shitty goal in from time to time, Nobakov can take a team on his back when he really wants to but with Taskala i dont think hes ready to lead a team to the finals but withing the next 2 to 3 years i think he can be a number 1 on any team but he needs to be more consistent.

Anaheim: I think they'll keep it that way unless they can get a really good deal. Giguere's starting for most games.
Buffalo: They're both great goalies. It's going to be hard to decide who's starter. The Sabres are leaning towards Miller.
Colorado: Theodore should be starter unless he screws up really bad.
Montreal: They still haven't decided. They're wanting Huet. They'll probably trade one guy.
Ottawa: Gerber. Emery's okay but he can't handle starting job. Look what happened after Hasek got injured last year.
SJ: Haven't really heard a lot about them. There doesn't seem to be a problem with the two goalies sharing the role.

Anaheim- they will keep it the same till the end of the season, if they continue playing as wel as they are
Buffalo- Expect to see Biron be traded for a drafft pick and possibly a second or third line player near the trade deadline.
Colorado- Sadly, one of my fav teams, is slowly slipping away from the dyanmic team they were 2 seasons ago and goaltending was not an issu, why they felt the need to trade Abby, is beyond me. Budaj is pretty good, he has potnetial, but not for another season or two. If colorado keeps playing as poorly as they are, expect to see theo go elsewhere.
Montreal- Will porbaly keep it the way it is un til the end of the season, or when a good trade is offered.
Ottawa- Always with the goaltending, havent fixed it this season, keep trying, Maybe next season the ywill finally get it right. Odds are they will snag one of the aforementioned and avialbale goaltenders or try and steal Nabokov from SJ.
San Jose- Quite Content with their position, Once agina, probaly wont make any moves , unlsess the right deal comes along.

I think the Ducks will trade Bryzgalov, same with San Jose--only I'm not sure which one they will trade. I think Buffalo will keep both of theirs, it is working out well for them. I think it's still too soon to tell who will end up being number 1 in Montreal. I think Theodore is done. He's been playing like a back up goalie for quite awhile now, might as well make him one. I think Toskala is a better goalie than Nabakov but he isn't even keeled enough to be number one. He lets things get to him to easily. Not all back ups are good enough to be the number one goalie. They have flashes. Got to be steady to be number 1. I like all goalies. Goalies rule!!

I think that San Jose has said they have no backup goalie. Toskala and Nabakov are sharing the duties evenly. Of course, that was a while ago I heard that. Things could have changed by now.

I only know about Colorado. Honestly, Budaj is a good goalie and could easily get himself to where he could be the number one. However, I think Colorado made a grave mistake by getting rid of Aebischer, he should be the main guy for the Avs, Theodore should have stayed in Montreal.

The better question is where does the back-up end up? In need of goalie help: PHX, Boston, Toronto, maybe, Detroit will need it next year or the year after, and will a better goalie help Columbus? What about Tampa, they have two goalies battling it out right now for number one.

My son says Theodore stays, Budaj goes. I would have still taken Aebischer...What's with the Av's since St. Patty's day ended...?
